Hamish Johnston is a family run independent food business– we have a wholesale arm based in Suffolk and a shop in London at the heart of Battersea’s Northcote Road. We are suppliers of quality cheese and fine deli products.
Our wholesale business supplies a variety of food businesses across the East of England and London.
Our shop is a focus of the local community and is widely recognized as one of the finest cheese retailers in London.

Our History

In 1994, Will Johnston opened our shop on the Northcote Road, and it soon established an excellent reputation – both locally and across London – for its broad selection of artisan and farmhouse cheese.
In 2001, Will moved to Suffolk and local resident Mark Newman joined the Hamish Johnston team. As co-owners, Will and Mark built up the Hamish Johnston wholesale operation. Suffolk was to become its centre.
24years later, the Hamish Johnston shop continues to thrive, and the wholesale operation currently supplies over 350 businesses.
